The Square Peg opened in 1974 and has been in the Hennepin Square Building in Northeast Minneapolis for 30 years. When we bought the business in the summer of 2003 the menu had hardly changed. During the Minnesota State Fair in September 2003 I met a gentleman who used to own the Square Peg, almost 20 years ago. He still has a restaurant at the fair called the Peg with basically the same menu. I have since updated the menu a bit and done a bit of remodeling at the Diner, but it remains essentially the same a place to get a good meal at a fair price.
